WHY?
When bacteria, yeast, fungus, build up in the small intestine it disrupts your ‘gut environment’, stops you absorbing vital nutrients and could cause the immune system to attack itself (autoimmune) and you may or not be noticing constipation, diarrhoea, wind, bloating and pains in stomach. A build up of mucus in the small intestine will block the absorption of nutrients from food. Sometimes the mucus gets so thick and tough it is almost like a plastic film. Almost no nutrition can get through to the body.
